About this piece
It’s a hot summer’s afternoon, the gargoyle arrived a few days ago and has been winched up on hemp rope to its new home. The workers long ago overcame their fear of heights, and remembering never to be reckless, can move with quick certainty. The thing is monstrous in weight and appearance, and will stay there for hundreds of years, but this somehow
has become ordinary for them.
